Freedom of Information Act

The Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. ยง 552, is a public law passed by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1966 which guarantees access to public records controlled by the United States federal government. This, in addition to the Open Records Act, allows Ohio citizens to access and inspect public records at all levels of government.
