Ohiosunshine.org is a project developed and maintained by the Center for Transparent and Accountable Government of the Buckeye Institute.

The project's mission is to serve as a convenient place where Ohio citizens and others with an interest in ensuring that government is open, honest and accountable may join together and work to ensure that government data is available to everyone. This includes government officials and offices at all levels that might find OhioSunshine.org a convenient place to post information that is commonly requested, thereby reducing their own burden while simultaneously easing the burden of citizens seeking information. All efforts are welcomed, regardless of individual views on the political issues of the day, to ensure that Ohio government is doing all that it should do to keep citizens informed.

The tone of OhioSunshine.org is "just the facts." Anyone interested in characterizing information found here is requested to give that a second thought and see if it is possible to avoid doing so. If such persons continue to believe that characterization is necessary, the style of OhioSunshine.org is to establish a "overview" link toward the top of any page where this is necessary, so that competing viewpoints may work themselves out in that forum.
